The kitchen is equipped with microwave, hobs, basic cooking pots, pans and utensils, along with crockery and cutlery. Each lodge has its own kettle, mugs and selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and sugar.

BBQ charcoal, firelighters, and logs for the fire pit are all available to purchase on site.

You will need to bring –

  • Food – unless ordered from us, or eating out
  • Condiments – salt, pepper, seasonings, sauces, cooking oil, etc.,
  • BBQ Utensils
  • Tea towels, hand towels, bath towels, toiletries
  • Appropriate wear and footwear for bathroom visits
  • Dog beds for inside the lodges
  • dog leads, drinking/food bowls, poop bags!

There are taps by the lodges for refilling dog water bowls.

No. We not have WIFI around the lodges but there is very good 4G signal, we recommend you switch off from the rat race and enjoy some peace and quiet out in the tranquil countryside.

There are plenty of good local pubs in the area, and also the option of some fine dining experiences. We are happy to recommend places for you to try, or you can even order in food. We are happy to arrange transport to and from local eateries, and can accommodate small groups. There may be a small charge depending on the distance and number of people.

Yes! You can order our breakfast box, or BBQ box, or both! Breakfast box is £10 for 2 people and contains sausages, bacon, eggs, black pudding, mushrooms and tomato. BBQ box is £20 for 2 people and contains burgers, chicken drum sticks, sausages and marinated ribs. All from our local award winning butchers.

You can also request a variety of items to be added to your lodge before arrival, either as special treat or a surprise for a loved one! such as Prosecco on ice, balloons, banners, flowers, chocolates, fruit bowl, just send us your requirements.

We need at least 24 hours’ notice for breakfast and BBQ packs and for drinks orders.

Do we need to clean the lodge before we leave? 2017-04-20T15:11:16+00:00

Each lodge will be cleaned before it is made available to the next guest. However, we do ask that you leave your lodge in the same state of cleanliness and general order as you found it. That means, for example, ensuring that all rubbish is put in the bin for disposal and crockery is returned to the kitchen, clean and put away.

What happens if something gets damaged? 2017-04-20T15:10:44+00:00

We understand that a certain amount of wear and tear is inevitable and this applies to the odd smashed glass or broken plate.

However, if something does get damaged during your stay at the lodges do let us know ASAP so that it can be fixed or replaced. We do reserve the right to charge for more serious damages and breakages such as incidents to furniture, broken windows etc.

Are linens and towels supplied? 2017-04-20T15:08:56+00:00

All bed linen is supplied, but you will need to bring your own towels, and we recommend bath robes and flip flops for trips to the bathroom. Linens are not changed for guests staying for a short break, or 3 or 4 days. If you are staying with us for a week or more, your linens will be changed during the week.

The lodges do not have direct-dial telephones, and at the moment do not have wifi, in order to keep them as a peaceful retreat.

Do the Lodges have parking? 2017-04-20T15:07:36+00:00

Yes. The lodges have their own car park, but please be aware that it is not possible to drive to your lodge to load or unload, and there is a short walk from the car park to your lodge. We can help with bags if required.

Do the lodges have toilets/showers? 2017-04-20T15:07:00+00:00

The lodges do not have their own individual toilet and shower. Bathroom facilities are within a short walk and have separate male and female changing rooms, showers and toilets. There are no bath tubs.

How many people can stay in a Lodge? 2017-04-20T15:06:26+00:00

The lodges can comfortably accommodate 2 people, but have the capacity to sleep groups of up to 5 in the deluxe lodges and up to 3 in the Pine lodge.

Do you cater for customers with restricted mobility? 2017-04-20T15:05:48+00:00

The lodges require a short walk from your car, and are on a gentle slope. We therefore do not recommend them for customers with restricted mobility.

Can I bring a dog? 2017-04-20T15:02:36+00:00

Yes! All of our lodges and surrounding grounds welcome dogs, but we ask that they are kept on leads when on site, and remain in crates, or your cars, if you need to leave them for a short while.

We charge a cleaning fee for dogs of £15 per dog per stay. If exceptional cleaning needs to be undertaken then we reserve the right to charge extra.

When will I receive a booking confirmation and directions? 2017-04-20T15:01:40+00:00

You will receive a booking confirmation when a deposit payment has been made, a second confirmation along with directions to the property will be sent when your stay is paid in full.

What time can I arrive and depart? 2018-08-09T13:22:11+00:00

In order that your accommodation can be properly prepared, it is important that you do not arrive before the designated arrival time. This is normally after 3pm but can vary and will be stated on the online booking form, the property description, and on your final confirmation if different, arrive no later then 7pm. Departure time is before 10.00am.

The balance of your holiday is payable at any time up until and not after 9 weeks prior to arrival, there are three ways that you can pay the remaining balance of your holiday.

By logging in to your account and choosing ‘Pay Full Balance’

By calling our office on 01584 819007 to pay by card.

As you are probably on the website while reading this, you will find that the easiest way to book is online.

Click ‘Book now’ on the right hand side of each property details page to take you to the secure online booking form.

This will take you through the different stages, including taking your payment.

You can also complete the booking over the phone by calling 01584 819007.

Do I need to pay a deposit? 2017-04-20T15:03:13+00:00

Yes. We ask for a deposit of 50% of the cost of your accommodation when you book. The full balance must then be paid no later than 30 days before your arrival date.

If you fail to make payment of the balance, the 50% payment then becomes non-returnable and your booking will be cancelled.

If you want to cancel a booking you must notify us in writing by email.  If you do so more than 30 days before the date of arrival we will refund your deposit.
